Testimonials of the Petitioners
These are just a few testimonials from people who have signed the petitions. Studios, PLEASE - We are your customers!
HD DVD has delivered on the promise of High Definition picture and sound at an affordable price. Publish both formats and let the market decide the winner!
I support this petition. And I believe that HD-dvd is a superior format that has less problems.
HD DVD is stunningly good HD and is consistent in quality. Bluray is like a crap shoot. The price of HD DVD makes it the only format I want. Why pay more for lower quality? Give us HD DVD releases now, please.
Let the consumers decide which format is better by offering titles on both!
I have both HD-DVD and BluRay, attached to a 1080P monitor by HDMI. HD-DVD has a far superior picture. I will not be buying any more BluRay.
After personally viewing a number of side by side comparisons, even is stores where they blatantly push Blu-Ray over HD-DVD, it was clear that HD DVD has far superior Picture Quality--and even greater sound quality with Dolby true hd. Studios have nothing to lose and everyting to gain by releasing in both formats. Let the consumer decide, Either way the Studios win!!! Rick
HD-DVD has the same/better picture quality at half the price of Blu Ray.....
because the HD-DVD format has already proven to be equal to if not better than the Blu-Ray format. Despite the (potentially) larger capacity of the latter, HD-DVD still edges it out in quality.
Do your shareholders right Fox. Do not artificially limit your income to just Blu Ray. Rake in the cash with HD DVD movie sales as well.
Because I believe HD-DVD is a better format. I am buying an HD-DVD this weekend and I would like to watch Disney movies in HD-DVD
HD-DVD is cheaper, yet provides better performance. To refuse to support the format is ridiculous.
what a shame so many great movies on fox,but to me to invest in a blu-ray at the price is insane!! and the fomat that has many issues. hddvd is here its great and your missing out on sales wating for a fomat(Bluray) that may be dead in the water,i hope like many others you come to your senses and support hd-dvd also
In one week I have purchased 8 HDDVDs-I urge you to release on HDDVD MGM has many titles I would like to own
At "Total Theater" we don't sell theaters without HD-DVD players!
Give us consumers a choice!
I will only buy movies from studios who support BOTH formats.
I support this initiative because it is beneficial to consumers and shareholders.
because you have many of my favourite movies and I refuse to pay the extra hardware cost of Blu-ray when it doesn't provide better PQ or sound than HD-DVD
Please please, support HD-DVD. All political verbage aside, just please support HD-DVD. I will NOT be buying Blu-ray but I would love to buy your movies.
HD DVD is high definition picture and sound satisfaction from the first release. Blu-ray is not even close.
you won't get any of my money unless your titles are available on HD DVD.
HD DVD has been proven consistently to be a better buy over Bluray. I want to vote with my dollar studios! Please start releasing your films in the HD DVD format.
I was a blu-ray supporter, but have now purchased HD-DVD due to current technical superiority
WHY NOT SUPPORT BOTH DISNEY PLEASE LIKE PARAMOUNT AND WARNER DID.
Fox has many titles that I'd be happy to re-purchase on HD-DVD. I do not plan on buying a Blu-ray player.
HD-DVD is here now at an affordable price with great image and sound quality - I own the hardware and desire more software.
It makes sense to make a profit from both formats until a winner is deceided.
Stop holding out on the better format! HD-DVD would have already won this format war if Blu-Ray weren't propped by Sony PR baloney!
because it allows the consumer to decide the winner of the format war and lets us enjoy ALL of our favorite movies...
it's time for the studios to stop messing around and let us buy their films on a format that people actually use and fulfils its purpose.
I have many of your films on VHS, Laser Disc and DVD. I would buy them again on HD-DVD, but I will not buy them on BluRay. Thank you.
I am not buying any more DVD's and will only buy HD-DVD.
HD-DVD picture quality is amazing. I plan to buy only HD movies in the future.
HD looks better than Blu-ray. Why support an inferior picture.
I Refuse to buy any further SD-DVDS from your collection old or new. as HD-DVD is far better than sonys dodgey BluRay format, for everyones sake start releasing some HD-DVD's or my 20 films a month purchases are gonna stop!!!!
I support this petition because I own the Toshiba HDA-1 and will not buy any bluray movies !,even though I will own a PS3!
because studios should leave the decision on which format will prevail to the consumers.
i am buying one player and it will be HD-DVD not bluray. I will buy my films again on HD-DVD if available
I support this petition because HD-DVD has the value and quality to show your movies as close to the movie theater experience at home as possible.
because Bluray doesn't cut it. I'm not about to waste money on yet another format war, so if Fox wants me to repurchase my Fox library in high definition, then that content needs to be on HD DVD.
I'm sorry, but Blu-Ray looks terrible compared to HD-DVD.
I am not anti-Bluray as such, it's just that HD-DVD has proved to be the better format thus far. Please don't ally yourself with a format that gives worse picture and sound quality.
i have purchased an HD-DVD player. i will not be buying blue ray. i will buy disney discs if you make them.
Untill Fox supports HD-DVD I can't see myself even buying DVDs of Fox titles as my Home Movie collection money has and will mostly be spent on HD-DVDs. No HD-DVDs for Fox means none of their titles are on my mind since I almost exclusively just look at the HD-DVD wall at Best Buy.
COME TO YOUR SENSES! HD-DVD is the way to go. Look at the sales!
HD DVD is incredible! I refuse to pay twice as much for a Blu-Ray player with equal or worse (w/MPEG2) PQ, as well as fewer features (no ethernet jack, no audio CD playback, etc). Which do you think the regular consumer would be more likely to purchase??
With the sound limitations and the production yield issues (of Bluray), it makes sense to support the HD DVD format. I also have large library of DVD's and it makes more sense for me to upgrade to a HD DVD.
HD-DVD is the leader, and it's time to join the parade! You have some of the greatest films ever made -- they deserve the best technology.
Please support the HD-DVD format. It is currently the better of the HD formats, and has far more afforadable players.
It's unconscionable that ALL studios do not support both HD formats and let the marketplace decide which is the preferred player.
because it's in the consumer's interest which means it's in yours too.
Please support the more consumer friendly format. Thank You.
Remember what happened with Betamax? Don't only side with Sony, bad move.
as a Disney shareholder since 1986 (yes seriously) Disney should let the market dictate who wins and not based on silly alliances.
because of the value and quality offered by HD DVD. I plan to buy Combo HD DVD's as gifts this holiday season and without your support. Please join HD DVD and give us more choice of quality films.
I support this petition because based on what I have seen, I have decided to buy only HD DVD movies and not Blu-Ray because of HD DVD's superior picture quality.
it would be in your best interest to hop on the hd-dvd bandwagon, this is a good product and great pq
HD-DVD is the superior format. It has excellent video and sound quality, and most importantly - Is CHEAPER to buy and manufacture. Videophiles are NOT the drivers of sales. The average conumer is. And the average consumer goes to the best value for their dollar. That is HD-DVD. You have many fine titles, it would be a shame not to have them in my collection, as I replace my DVD's with HD-DVD's.
Please release HD DVD titles as soon as you can. My HD DVD collection is at 35 titles and want to see many of your films. Furthermore, Sony seems to want to control all High Definition content... hedge your bets.... remember VHS vs Betamax
I have purchased hundreds of Fox DVD's and would like to continue to do so in the HD DVD format which I am supporting. Thanks
Ignoring the HD-DVD market does not make business sense. Remember -- Sony has a long history of trying to implement unpopular proprietary systems (ATRAC, anyone? How about Beta?) that fail, and drag their supporters down with them; the future is open and multi-standard, not closed and monopolistic.
Blu-Ray has been all about promises, while HD-DVD has delivered on all those BD promises for 1/2 the price. Have HD-DVD hardware will buy content.
I also support this petition. Returning blu-ray player. No confidence in them.
So far, HD-DVD represents a far better value to the user, with higher video quality, and lower costs. For the studio, HD-DVD could generate a higher profit margin with more consumer support and lower production costs.
Disney supoort HD DVD. Let the customer decide which format they want rather than you trying to help Blu-Ray win the war. I have no intentions of buying Disney movies at this time until I see them come out in HD DVD. I also plan to spread my thoughts on what your doing to try and convince me to buy Blu-Ray to my family and friends.
I urge you to support HDDVD- I own over 20 of your films on DVD and would like to upgrade them to HDDVD- I have purchased 4 HDDVD players for x-mas gifts this year and Iurge you to support this market
It is all about freedom of choice and doing what is best for your customers, not what is best for SONY
I have been following the competition between the 2 formats and originally was strongly in the Bluray camp. Picture quality issues convinced me to switch sides. I now own a HD-DVD player. Please bring on the titles. I will buy them.
I own a HD dvd player and absolutely love it and will only support HD dvd from what I have seen so far.
HDDVD is the best by far and until you decide to release no one I know will purchase FOX products.
Support HD DVD. Why support one format and not another?
Disney, Please understand as a Fan of your films for 30+ years. Since adulthood, and children of my own I have invested in nearly every DVD you have released. But, here I must insist that sony is heading in the wrong direction and you seem to be following them right out of the market. I only buy and support the best quality, and clearly HD-DVD is the best quality. There are numerous reasons to go with HD-DVD over Blu-ray. The trogan horse otherwise known as the PS3 will not propell Blu-ray into the future as gamers play games, and movie watchers watch movies. Serious HD movie watchers will not invest in an inferior Blu-ra y player in the PS3. I use my DVD player to watch films, and my console to play games! Get it?
HD-DVD quality is better than the blue ray player at this time. You are really missing out by not supporting the higher quality format.
If you care about quality, please support HD-DVD. Blu-ray has been a disaster.
HDDVD is seeing great sales and rave reviews because of the stunning visuals and sound.
HD-DVD is more affordable, and I have supported Fox with a large number of DVD and Laserdisc purchases over the years.
I bought the player and 10 movies day one and I want to buy a few hundred more but where the heck are they?
The recent purchase of my Toshiba HD-A1 has been totally satisfying. It truly delivers on the promise of high definition. After viewing a number of titles I purchased with the unit I have decided to stop purchasing standard DVD titles. It will be a shame to pass on the purchase of X-Men, The Fantastic 4, Alien, Die Hard and some of the other Fox titles I would add to my growing HD-DVD collection. The Toshiba HD-A1 does such a good job at upconverting standard DVD that I will have to make due with the standard discs I already own and rent future Fox titles that are not offered in my preferred format. In effect, I guess you guys are fo! rcing a 20th Century Fox boycott on my wallet.
I support This Petition because as the proud owner of and xbox 360 which is releasing an HD drive in Nov and the Toshiba HD-A1, I'd like to be able to purchase the Punisher, Devils Rejects, etc..on HD. I have no plans for a Blu Ray including PS3 mainly because of cost but also because of lack of support from Universal
I support this petition because the HD-DVD format is becoming more affordable and, certainly, better than blu-ray
I need all of the HD content i can get my I already have all but a few of the released HD DVD s from paramont. warner and universal. get with it and il"ll be buying ur content as well.
Stop trying to tell people what they want, and do what the consumers want!
Don't lose out on customers! HD-DVD got better pic and sound quality than Blu-ray!
i support this petition because the hd player is cheaper than the blue ray and it seems to be more stable than the blue ray
I am a fairly regular purchaser of movies and want to Purchase all my future movies in the HD DVD format.
I buy a lot of content and Bluray just doesn't cut it picture quality-wise. If you want to resell me my dvd collection on high definition, then it'll have to be on HD DVD.
Because HD-DVD offers much better value than Bluray.
HD DVD is the consumer friendly format. Please help us by bringing your films to it.
I am happy with my Toshiba HD-DVD player and have no intention of buying another hi-def format player.
To make to most money possible, I urge Disney to support HD DVD.
Waiting patiently to buy my beloved Disney Classics in HD DVD.
HD-DVD is cheaper and looks gorgeus. We want to buy more films!!!
If Fox avoids the HD-DVD format I will boycott their products for life.
HD-DVD is clearly not going away any time soon.
HD DVD is what your customer wants, better quality, lower manufacturing cost, DVD compatibility. Think of the needs of your customers, not the needs of Sony
I want HD content and I want it now. I'm not here to wait until BD players dropped in price, I'm not here to wait until BD get their acts together. In order to get HD content NOW, the only format that delivers is HD-DVD
I'm not usually an early adopter of new technology, but I purchased a Toshiba HD-A1 based on it's objectively superior approach to HD. Most, if not all, future DVD purchases I make will be in the HD-DVD format. This is simply an additional revenue stream opportunity.
I've only bought HD DVD. I by about 2 movies a week. Now I only buy HD DVDs...
price,quality,support of hd-dvd
I love hd dvd and prefer it to blu-ray. I would love to see many of your films on hd dvd.
I have over 400 Fox titles on DVD. I just purchased a HD-DVD player and love it because of the quality & price. I would purchase many Fox titles on HD if you could support this format. Thank you
Remember divx...
HD-DVD is fantastic. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Blu-Ray so far has been a bust and has turned me off completely from buying it, even if it is improved in the future. Cheaper manufacturing = cheaper for the consumer, my biggest reason for going HD-DVD. Disney, please reconsider going strictly Blu-Ray, support HD-DVD as well and watch Disney HD-DVD's sell and shine better than Blu-Ray.
Blu ray will fail.
Lions Gate as a HD DVD owner I need your support to release your movies not only in Blu-Ray but HD DVD. This will allow the customer to decide which format should exist and not the movie studios.
Because if you want my money it is not going to be BluRay
You will lose many fans by only supporting blu ray.
If the movie is encoded with VC1 it can be released on both formats without the need to re-encode for a seperate release. You can twice the market for one process. There is money sitting on the table from HD-DVD buyers!
Please support HD-DVD
because I have a lot of MGM dvds that I want to upgrade to HD DVD and all my future purchases will be HD DVD from now on.
I support this petition. Sticking to a format that is not technically working out is a poor (decision)
Have HD-DVD, need more movies!
.We would appreciate the right to choose for ourselves HD-DVD or BLU-RAY.Its a win win situation, thank you.
HD-DVD is superior to Blu-Ray in picture quality in my opinion, and I plan to purchase many HD-DVD's to support it.
Support HD-DVD or lose my money to disney films all together!!
because I own a HDDVD player and I also own nearly every disney DVD, get on the ball DISNEY!
Disney/Pixar really need to support HD-DVD as that is the preferred format for early adopters. Hopefully Disney will realize this soon!
I support this petition because I owned a HD DVD Player and I have been only buying HD DVDs
I own an HD DVD player and will not buy a Blu-ray player. If you released your films on HD DVD, I would buy a vast majority of them.
I currently own a Toshiba A1 and would like to buy movies from the Fox catalouge to watch in HD. I don't plan to purchase any more SD DVDs.
Make the right choice: BD25's @ Mpeg2 or HD-30's with VC-1. Why wait for Blu-ray's promises of tomorrow when HD-DVD delivers today!
Please start to support HDDVD Eddie Estes
HD DVD is currently leading, and will indefinetly lead with the low cost of the HD-DVD players, along with the simplicity behind the name.
I am hoping Disney puts out some of their anitmated movies and also some of the Pixar movies on HD-DVD as I will never buy blue ray
After all the bad publicity blu-ray has been getting, I think the war is already over. If these companies want me to rebuy my DVD collection, they need to jump ship before the novelty wears off.
HD DVD offers more advantages than Blu-Ray to the consumer and the content provider at a better price for both parties as well as better quality.
Let the consumer decide which format it prefers. My purchase of Toshiba's HD-A1 is the best addition I've made to my home theater since my first DVD player. it has performed flawlessly and delivers on the promise of high definition.
HD-DVD looks like a great format with a solid underlying cost structure. By supporting both formats Disney would let the consumers choose rather than try to force them one way.
I'm not funding Sony's hype anymore. Release on HD DVD or I'll keep my cash.
It's clearly a a format that delivers what we expect from HD - let's move forward!
HD-DVD owners have the right to choose from all the great titles you have in your catalog. Please additionally support HD-DVD, not necessarily at the expense of BluRay.
Release on both and let the consumer decide. You will have more HD-DVD sales than Blu Ray
because I have witnessed the higher quality video delivered by the VC-1 codec and because the HD-DVD player costs so much less. In mathematical terms: Better quality + lower cost = HD-DVD = No brainer
I will only pay for value and Blu-Ray is not providing value for the an HD player like Toshiba does.
I support this because HD DVD is an excellent format with cheaper options that could be adopted by a broader audience quicker.
as a consumer, resonable cost vs. PQ quality is mandatory! HD DVD fits the bill!!!
I support this petition because I am happy with my Toshiba HD-DVD player and haveno intention of buying another hi-def formatplayer.
HD-DVD has better quality for half the price.
I will buy HD-DVD version, not blueray. It will play in my xbox360.
I have every HD=dvd title and am looking fwd to LG releasing on HD-dvd!
I have a HD-DVD player and will never buy blu-ray
hd dvd is very good. one format one codec and many movie studios will make alot of money and the consumer very happy.
Because you should give both of these platforms a fair chance to fight it out. Make Movies for both!
More economical for the cunsumer and the picture quality is superb
Don't lose those customers, try both formats and see the results.
because HD-DVD has better quality for less price than BD. This equates to extra $$ to purchase your movies. Makes sense?
Don't isolate potential customers.
HD DVD is the better format and more viable due to cost.
It would take less effort to release hd dvd than blu ray. both would be nice.
Sleeping Beauty would be wonderful in HD-DVD. Blu-ray seems to be cutting corners on a film like experience. HD-DVD has delivered!
HD-DVD is the clear choice in this format war!
Stop telling the consumers what they want, and act on what they are asking for!
there is no comparision - HD-DVD all the way
I have bought every HD-DVD release and will continue to do so; no BlueRay in my house!
You will sell a whole lot more of your product supporting HD DVD.
Please release your films on HD-DVD! It's a proven format already!
Own the Toshiba HD-A1 and several titles. Buy DVDs regularly and now restraining myself waiting for HD titles (so until they appear, the industry is losing money.)
I have always been a supporter of Lionsgate films saw, hostel ect. please support the new wave of tec. HD DVD.I'll never purchase the sub-par Bluray.
If money matters to the studios, and it does, then it is only logical to make films in both formats.
HD DVD owners want your catalog available on HD DVD. As I big buyer of content, and being rather disappointed with Bluray's picture quality, I have decided to be HD DVD exclusive and not buy into yet another format war.
Failure to support this fine product is a serious marketing mistake.
HD-DVD will remain my choice, please provide content.
Please understand the importance of providing a quality source of your products to those of us that have purchased and greatly enjoy this format. Not to do so will effect your sales
I Support This petition `'cause HD DVD is the best formatt to watch hi def contents
I have money that I want to spend on your movies. Please release on the superior format, HD DVD.
Support HD-DVD and please take my money.
I will definitely say that HD-DVD is the way to go. In the case of Lionsgate, great studio--I loved their SD jobs on T2, American Psycho, Crash, Total Recall, and so on--but upon further evaluation, Lionsgate has not even bothered offering extra features: Crash and Lord of War were released as two-disc sets, the former as a director's cut; neither Blu-Ray version contains any special features. T2 is the only Lionsgate Blu-Ray with extra features, yet none of the content-superior Ultimate Edition features are included, nor is the Special Edition cut of the film present on both versions. Lionsgate, if you read this, given Blu-Ray declines in consumer sales, release your titles (many of which have valuable extras) on HD. Thank you.
I ONLY buy HD discs since buying my HD-A1
If Disney wants ME as a customer, I recommend they release titles in amazing HD-DVD glory.
After reading Mr. Michael Dunn's arrogant comments, I am appalled at Fox studios ignorance as to the reality of which new format is superior. I guess BD+ and a game console are all that matters to Fox, as well as numerous unmet promises by Sony. As a consumer, I want the best quality available, and Bluray, is not it! Open your eyes Mr. Dunn, the future is not blu! Remember DIVX?You're headed down the same path, again!
I support both formats ... but barring a unified player, I then support the more reasonably priced format = HDDVD
I hope you support HD-DVD so I can purchase your movies since I am not going to get blue ray
I am only supporting HD-DVD and not blue ray and I hope you release HD-DVD versions of your movies
you will lose many fans by not supporting both formats.
HD DVD is selling 20-to-one of Blu-ray. Time to get on board and give us what we are dying to give you our money for!
because i dont support the greedy execs at sony
Come on Fox - I want to see some of your flicks in HD DVD!
Do the right thing and join HD DVD. The economic characteristics in authoring and replication have been proven to be superior to Blu-ray. HD DVD has delivered 100% on its promise. Has Sony?
This is the format where general public can taste the real HD.
HD-DVD delivered on their promises for picture quality; blu-ray hasn't.
I will buy almost any movie for the HD-DVD format just to show my support and to enjoy film the way it should be enjoyed, in pristine audio and video quality.
C'mon, LGF! An indie label can't afford to dedicate themselves to one format.
Fox is a great studio and I am a proud supporter of HD-DVD. I would love for FOX to support to format as the other studio's do in order to let consumers decide what they want, not let the Industry decide what is best for them.
As an owner of a HD-DVD player I would love to be able to choose your products to watch.
I don't plan on buying two players, and Bluray players look like they're going to be expensive for a while.
HD DVD is here and it's wonderful. Please support the HD DVD.
I need my Pixar fix on HDDVD!!
HD-DVD has proven itself as a valid format with inventories selling out and Toshiba being attentive to customer needs with firmware updates. Blu-Ray is having quality and production issues with both LESS capactiy and an older codec. PLEASE release your films in HD-DVD!
Simply put: HD-DVD is cheaper, offers the same video and sound quality (Please don't even attempt to say Blu-Ray is superior in either, I have played with both formats...) Sony needs to get in touch with reality. You would think they would have learned from all their failed proprietary formats.
Please support HD-DVD, it's cheaper and I forsee it's going to be the standard.
We need to make the formats have the same advantadge...H-DVD is selling better--thus Hollywood should support it as so!
I want HD DVD, not BLUE RAY!
I will not buy two different types of disc. I will buy HDDVD only.
You make the HD-Dvd movies and I will buy plenty of them.
HD-DVD is already showing more acceptance
My HD-DVD player should arrive August 4, 2006. Thanks for your consideration!
Much love for Lions Gate Films
DVD is better for average everyday consumer. It is more affordable to people so so will your movies in return.
HD DVD....Its the abvious consumer choice....!
Why support a format that is losing the high def battle?
HD DVD is where I am putting my Video money into.
I will not purchase your products released in BluRay format. I will buy your products released in HD DVD format. I hope that you decide to make something that I want to buy.
I will not buy BluRay product.
HD DVD will win the format war, be on the winning team.
I fully support this petition and will boycott all products from studios not releasing in the HD-DVD Format.
Hello, Cost is king, and HD DVD provides the lowest cost and least complexity to content providers, such as your self. pls provide you excellent movies to this format. Thx, gary keyes Portland, Or
Please support both formats and let consumers decide! Don't penalize those who chose HD-DVD due to economic reasons.
Allow the consumer to decide, please.
Do what is right for profits and offer movies in HD-DVD and let the consumer decide the winner not the studio.
HD-DVD will be the winer because of the price, quality, and fast launching products.
I would rather have HD-DVD win this format war then have Sony lock in a proprietary format with Blu-Ray. Sony Failures.. Mini-Disc, Betamax, MMCD, HiFD, Memory Stick, Super Audio, UMD, ATRAC audio.
I've already invested my pennies in HD-DVD. Bring my favourite releases to HD-DVD!!
Thanks for considering releasing titles from the great Fox library on HD DVD. I can't wait to watch Die Hard, X-Men, Speed and many more on HD DVD - Thanks again.
HD-DVD will sell more units to more people faster than Blu-Ray could possibly hope to penetrate the marketplace. With you support I can have your excellent movies back in my living room but in High Definition. Thank You.
I have an HD-DVD player and can't believe how great the video and audio quality are. I can't seem to get content fast enough for it. Please release your titles on HD-DVD!
Don't make a DIVX mess of this. Support HDDVD
HD-DVD is the more affordable format, I'm sure it will either last longer or at least make equal profits to Blu-Ray.
All studios should release content and make moneyon HD DVD.
My typical movie purchases are two or three per week. I'm hoping that MGM will allow me to purchase some of my favorites on my prefered HD player: HD-DVD.
I wholeheartedly love my HD-DVD player, and would like some on my favorite Lions Gate titles to purchase for it.
I want to buy many FOX titles in HD DVD, especially ALL of the STAR WARS films (again)!
because only fair competition can produce a true winner in the next-generation HD market.
because I support HD-DVD and I want to watch MGM movies in HD-DVD. Please make your movies available. I love "Love at first Bite" and wnat it on HD-DVD.
don't only back the betamax of the highdef
I have 20+ Disney movies, and would like to upgrade to HD-DVD's when they become available since I have a HD-DVD player.
beleive me everybody is not rich. Hdvd is les expensive than bueray
I support HD-DVD because it is the natural and fully compatible next genaration DVD. I want to use my huge DVD library for years to come... and I'd like to keep the name DVD... I'd hate to go out and buy "blu-rays"... BRs are too complicates, expensive... fragile. they are s**t
As a loyal customer I personally own many MGM DVDs. I would like to purchase them again in the HD-DVD format as soon as you make them available. Thanks, Eddie
I bought many of your movies on DVD and would like to enjoy your library again on HD DVD.
I would love to see Lions Gate films on HD DVD and Blu-Ray discs
Your studio has the most to gain by releasing movies to both formats. I can't wait to see how pixar looks in HD!
Momentum is with the HD-DVD format. HD-DVD owners are ready to spend $$$ for titles in HD-DVD format.
I do not want to be forced to buy bluray if I wish to watch your movies in HD. Release on hd-dvd and you'll get more money from me and the thousands of other hd dvd owners.
because I want the best quality for my movies and I want the best value for my investment. HD-DVD gives me what I want, and like the DVD format before it, I will support it wholeheartedly.
it is the right thing to do. Economics will demand it soon.
because HDDVD has delivered an outstanding product.
HD DVD Blows Blu ray out of the water! I want to buy your movies!!
You have so many great movies in your catalog. Please don't deny yourselves the opportunity to make money off of the larger installed base of HD-DVD players when you release movies in HD on disc.
For the average consumer HD dvd is the logical choice and the right choice. Half the price with better performance so far.The movie studios that invested in the HD DVD format will profit.
Better picture quality with VC-1 (HD-DVD) than MPEG2 (BR). HD-DVD player is half the price for a better picture.
as a videophile, HD-DVD has more than delivered on satisfying me. Blu-Ray has failed to deliver and I will never adopt this technology for movie-viewing even if it were to become successful.
HD-DVD is clearly not a format that can be ignored.
because HD DVD is the best of the two formats out there, best picture quality and best price overall
It has to be in disneys intresst to support a format that uses iHD that was part developed by Disney.
I have bought most of the HD-DVD's released to date. I am not intressted in a format like bluray where corporate politics and bribes to for example BB to hide HD-DVD makes a more expensie not needed format win
you can sell twice the films in supporting 2 formats - best regards
PQ is the most important thing in next "HD" DVD standard and HD-DVD delivered
I support this ,too. because HDDVD is more cheaper. we don't need blue ray at all.
HD-DVD is cheaper to manufacture which means the savings will be passed onto the consumer, which means I will buy more HD-DVD's. Sony is notorious for over-hyping products without backing up their claims with real world examples. Please Lions Gate, reconsider going strictly Blu-Ray and at least release titles in HD-DVD as well.
HD-DVD is great for the consumer, and delivering beautiful picture instead of just empty promises. We could use more movies in this format.
I believe HD-DVD has proven that they are better format than BLu-Ray. SO give HD-DVD a chance.
Picture Quality is better than Blu-Ray. I just bought 12 HD-DVD's from Amazon.com. I would like to spend more money :)
Please support HD-DVD as it CLEARLY outshines Blu-Ray. We don't need another vhs/beta war!!
as HD DVD is here now and works beautifully. I have no desire (nor the physical shelf space) to buy a BD player as I'm not impress with what I have seen so far...
I will not buy a Blue Ray player.
I am an HD DVD advocate and will not purchase a Blue Ray player
HD-DVD (currently) has offers the best experience for less money than Blu-Ray.
Because, its sounding like Sony is the typical rip off company it has always been, trying to standardise on there products, remember MD, ATRAC etc etc. The cost of players is too high etc etc
MGM would be silly to miss such a potentially lucrative avenue of revenue ;)
